This piece is inspired by my love of colour. I notice shapes and colours in everyday life that interest me and ignite ideas in my work. I live by the sea in Connemara in the West of Ireland. I love the sea blues and greens of Galway Bay and the lush and muddy greens of Connemara.
I see shapes and patterns in the landscape that inform the composition of the art.
I feel uplifted, peaceful but also energised and revitalised by my surroundings and I work to capture this mood and energy in the paintings.
