How to stay open in heart and mind, when everything has shut down? This has been the thinking behind my new collection of paintings that I will release next week.
Being closed off, restricted, removed from loved ones, has made me want to paint more; to fall into creativity for support and solace. It has driven me to create more meaningful moments with others and myself.
We have had more time to listen. I have been listening to myself and expressing what I felt in those locked down moments.
There is an untamed, unedited quality to the work. It is an honest reflection of the imperfect, unedited version in a me in a smaller and more limited world.
